Renting Makes Playing Rare Game Titles a Thing of the Past

How many times have you searched for that certain video game and found out the only way you are ever going to get it, is to pay over a hundred dollars on E-Bay. I'm an RPG gamer, which means that my forte is role playing games. Unfortunately for me RPGs can sometimes be impossible to find and because of that I've missed out on playing a few gems. Not only are they hard to find, but most gamers do not even trade their RPGs in to a local game store. I spend more of my time scouring the country for rare RPGs then I do actually playing them.

This past year there were two specific games I wanted buy Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3 and Ar Tonelico: Melody of Elemia, for the Playstation 2. I began my search on the internet and realized right away, these two purchases were not going to be easy. Every store I seemed to check said the same depressing thing, unavailable. I can't tell you how many times I've had to drive over 20 miles, just to get a specific title. I finally found both games on E-Bay, but the asking price was more then I had wanted to pay. A game that normally costs $40.00-$50.00 retail was going for almost $80.00, and these games weren't even a year old yet! I refused to pay that much and sighed as I realized I might never get to play those two RPGs. It would be much easier for me if I played sports games, which are easy to come by, but no I picked the one genre that has me continually searching for a needle in a haystack.

At that time I had stopped my Gamefly membership, but decided to see if maybe they had those two titles to rent. I was completely surprised to see that not only did they have both games available for renting but one was even available for purchase. At that moment I jumped for joy and restarted my Gamefly membership. Within one week both games arrived in my mailbox. It turned out I wasn't completely happy with one of the titles, but I was happy that I wasn't forced to spend all my money on E-Bay to buy it.

Renting is great but buying video games is even better! I've been able to purchase specific game titles that I couldn't find at my local video game store. If you're looking for some rare game titles check Gamefly, the selection they provide is outstanding. Gameboy advance games are hard to come by these days but not if you're a Gamefly member. Since GBA games are no longer made finding a store that has them for sale is difficult, especially if you're looking for a specific title. Gamefly has hundreds of games to rent and buy, so even if you can't buy that rare gem you've always wanted to you can at least play it.
